Community Meals
These are potluck style meals held every 3rd Wednesday of the month. The community is invited to join us for a free meal! Napkins, plates, utensils, drinks, etc. are provided.
Chamberlain Neighborhood
Community Garden
NGMC participates in caring for the Chamberlain Neighborhood Community Garden. This includes events at the beginning of the growing season to prepare the space for the summer and a Harvest Celebration in the fall.
Neighborhood Block Party
NGMC partners with the Chamberlain Neighborhood Association to plan an annual block party. This event happens in October, in conjunction with the Chamberlain Community Garden Harvest Celebration. Come enjoy food, games and activities, and musical entertainment!
Vacation Bible School
We were unable to participate in Vacation Bible School this summer, but look forward to seeing everyone again in 2024!
Church Retreat
Every summer we organize a church retreat to various parks or retreat centers in the area. We gather for a special worship service followed by a potluck meal.
Michiana Mennonite
Relief Sale
In September, NGMC participates in the Michiana Mennonite Relief Sale by running the Pie Booth each year in the Quilt Auction building at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. Volunteers from NG as well as many other churches in our region donate homemade pies which are then sold with ice cream during Friday night and Saturday of the Relief Sale. This year's Relief Sale is scheduled for September 22-23, 2023.
